Pathway to Pharmacy: Ireland's Journey
If you are a non-EU pharmacist, you must complete the Third-Country Qualification Recognition (TCQR) process. This includes submitting transcripts and degree certificates to the Pharmaceutical Society of Ireland (PSI) for verification. You will need to pass the PSI Equivalence Exam, consisting of a multiple-choice questionnaire (MCQ) and an Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE), conducted remotely. After that, you must complete a paid, supervised internship in Ireland lasting 6 months to 3 years, earning around €15-€20 per hour. Lastly, you need to pass the Professional Registration Examination (PRE) and an English proficiency test such as IELTS, TOEFL, or OET.
